Special Envoy for the President of Algeria, Mr. Attaf, Arrives in Ethiopia

Algiers – In his capacity as a special envoy for the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, arrived this Sunday evening in Addis Ababa, the capital of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, for an official visit. This was confirmed by a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the statement, this visit is part of “joint efforts to strengthen the traditions of consultation and coordination between the two brotherly nations and elevate their bilateral relations to the highest levels possible.”

The ministry’s statement also highlighted that during his stay in Addis Ababa, Mr. Attaf is expected to be received by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. On this occasion, he will deliver a written message from his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Additionally, Mr. Attaf will have an audience with the Ethiopian President, Mr. Sahle-Work Zewde, and hold discussions with Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Gedion Timotheos, as stated in the report.
