The Palestinian health authorities announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza has risen to 45,028 martyrs, with an additional 106,962 injured since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023.
According to the health ministry, the Israeli forces committed seven massacres against families in Gaza in the last 24 hours alone, resulting in 52 deaths and 203 injuries. The authorities highlighted that thousands of victims remain buried under the rubble or stranded in streets, as rescue and medical teams are barred from accessing the affected areas due to Israeli restrictions.
Unprecedented Humanitarian Catastrophe
Previously reported figures indicated 44,976 fatalities and 106,759 injuries, emphasizing the rapidly worsening situation in Gaza. The relentless assault has led to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, displacing more than 85% of Gaza’s population, equivalent to nearly 1.9 million people.
The continuous airstrikes and ground incursions have not only caused mass casualties but have also obliterated critical infrastructure, further compounding the suffering of the civilian population.
