Algiers – Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, welcomed members of the Higher Council for Youth representing the Algerian diaspora on Saturday. The meeting, held to discuss concerns specific to young Algerians abroad, was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.
During the meeting, Mr. Chaib reiterated his firm commitment to collaborating with representatives of the diaspora to find the most effective solutions to their concerns. He emphasized the great importance that President Abdelmadjid Tebboune places on youth, considering them a central focus of his directives and priorities.
Mr. Chaib highlighted the “pivotal role” of the Higher Council for Youth, stating that its establishment represents a significant step towards strengthening the active participation of young Algerians. He noted:
“The Council includes representatives from among the sons and daughters of our diaspora, ensuring their voices are part of the new dynamic shaping the nation.”
The Secretary of State praised the Council’s proactive role, emphasizing its “substantial presence and growing influence within the institutional framework, thanks to its extensive activities across various domains.”
This meeting is part of a broader consultation strategy involving diverse institutions and representatives of the Algerian diaspora, aiming to foster continuous dialogue and address their concerns effectively. According to the ministry’s statement, this approach underscores the government’s commitment to listening to the aspirations of its youth abroad and responding to their demands and expectations.
