In the 447th day of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, medical sources have reported the martyrdom of 20 Palestinians, including five journalists, as a result of a series of airstrikes that targeted various sites across the Gaza Strip.
The sources also confirmed that three newborn babies died due to extreme cold and low temperatures in the past 48 hours.
Politically, Israeli President Isaac Herzog was quoted by Maariv newspaper as saying, “The lives of the detainees are at risk, and I urge the leadership to reach a prisoner exchange deal.”
Earlier, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) indicated that negotiations for a ceasefire and prisoner exchange were progressing seriously. Hamas emphasized that they have shown responsibility and flexibility, but Israel imposed new conditions, leading to a delay in finalizing the agreement that had previously been within reach.
Despite international and regional calls to cease hostilities, civilian casualties in Gaza continue to rise.
