Cycling / Algeria Tour 2025: “The Race Will Start from Our Sister Country Tunisia”

Algiers – The President of the Algerian Cycling Federation, Kheir Eddine Barbari, announced on Thursday in Algiers that the starting signal for the 2025 edition of the Algeria Cycling Tour will be given from our sister country, Tunisia.

During a press conference organized by the “Madar Pro Cycling Team” to introduce three new riders, Barbari stated, “We have communicated with the public authorities, and we received their approval and support. Currently, we are working to implement the start of the Algeria Cycling Tour from the Tunisian-Algerian border, specifically from Sakiet Sidi Youssef, Tunisia, on February 8, 2025.”

He added, “We have also coordinated with the Tunisian Cycling Federation, which has agreed to the idea, and we are finalizing some administrative procedures. We chose February 8th to commemorate the events of Sakiet Sidi Youssef.”

According to the same source, the 2025 Algeria Cycling Tour will start from Tunisia, passing through several Algerian provinces, including Hassi Messaoud, before concluding with its final stage in Algiers.

The Algerian Cycling Federation will reveal further details about the tour during a press conference scheduled in the coming days.
