
Algiers – The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has undertaken a partial reshuffle within the diplomatic and consular corps, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution. This development was announced on Saturday in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The statement clarified that, “In accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has conducted a partial reshuffle in the diplomatic and consular corps, involving 28 ambassadors, six general consuls, and five consuls.”
The Ministry highlighted that the new appointments are part of efforts to enhance the efficiency of the diplomatic apparatus to address current challenges. The reshuffle also aims to ensure optimal support for the Algerian community abroad.
Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that “these appointments will come into effect once the required regulatory procedures are completed.”
