UN Official Calls for an End to Zionist Aggression on Gaza

New York (United Nations) – The United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Mu’in Hadi, has called on the Zionist entity to end its aggression on the Gaza Strip after more than 15 months of devastation. His plea focused on safeguarding the future of the children of Gaza and the entire region.

During his visit to Gaza, Hadi emphasized:
“It is imperative to protect churches, mosques, civilians, and all civilian infrastructure. This protection can only be ensured by ending this war through a ceasefire.” His remarks were cited by the United Nations Information Center.

The Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

The UN official underscored the importance of ensuring that displaced Palestinians in Gaza can return to their homes, stating:
“Children are the hope of the future. Without education and proper healthcare, there can be no bright future.”

The Zionist occupation forces have continued their military aggression for 465 consecutive days, launching airstrikes that have targeted hospitals, residential buildings, and civilian homes, causing massive destruction. The siege has also prevented essential supplies, such as water, food, medicine, and fuel, from entering the Strip.

Heavy Toll of the Conflict

The ongoing aggression has resulted in over 155,500 Palestinian casualties, including martyrs and injured individuals, the majority of whom are women and children. Additionally, more than 11,000 people remain missing amid widespread devastation. The crisis has led to famine, which has claimed the lives of many children and elderly people, making this one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.

The international community continues to call for urgent intervention to prevent further loss of life and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian population in Gaza.
