Ligue 1 Mobilis – Round 9 Rescheduled Match: CR Belouizdad and JS Kabylie Draw 1-1

Algiers – CR Belouizdad and JS Kabylie played to a 1-1 draw in a rescheduled match from Round 9 of the Ligue 1 Mobilis, held on Tuesday evening at the July 5 Olympic Stadium in Algiers.

Match Highlights

The goals came in the second half, with forward Mahious scoring for CR Belouizdad in the 69th minute. However, Walid Malki equalized for JS Kabylie in the 86th minute after a well-placed through ball from his teammate Hamidi.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, despite a marginal advantage for CR Belouizdad, who had an opportunity to take the lead when Belkhir found the net in the 38th minute. However, the goal was disallowed after referee Bouab reviewed the play via VAR and ruled it offside.

In the second half, CR Belouizdad maintained their attacking momentum and put significant pressure on the JS Kabylie defense, led by international defender Madani. This pressure earned them a penalty in the 64th minute when Mahious was fouled in the box by JS Kabylie defender Ben Saïd. However, Belkhir’s penalty shot was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Hadid.

Impact on the League Standings

With this draw, JS Kabylie remains at the top of the table with 25 points, while CR Belouizdad climbs to fifth place with 20 points. CR Belouizdad shares the position with USM Algiers (11 games played), CS Constantine (13 games), US Khenchela (14 games), and ASO Chlef (15 games).

JS Kabylie has now completed all its postponed matches, while CR Belouizdad still has three games in hand against Paradou AC (January 25), CS Constantine (January 29), and MC Oran (February 2).

The Ligue 1 Mobilis second half of the season is set to resume on February 9 and 10 with Round 16 matches.
