Algiers – The President of the People’s National Assembly, Mr. Ibrahim Bougali, arrived on Thursday in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, to represent the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President, Mr. Yamandú Orsi, scheduled for Saturday. This was announced in a statement from the Assembly on Friday.
Upon his arrival at Montevideo Carrasco International Airport, Mr. Bougali was received by Algeria’s Ambassador to Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, Mr. Lotfi Sebbouai, along with a representative from Uruguay’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Accompanying the President of the People’s National Assembly on this mission is a delegation that includes parliamentarians Mourad Madani and Mahfoud Hawas, as well as the Director General for the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Hashmi, according to the same statement.
