The inauguration of the “Ras Jenat-2” plant is part of national efforts to provide sustainable water resources and address challenges related to water scarcity in Algeria. In recent days, Mr. Tebboune has inaugurated three other major desalination plants: the “Ras El-Bey” plant in Aïn Kerma (Oran Province), the “Fouka 2” plant in Tipaza Province, and the “Koudiet Draouche” plant in El-Tarf Province. These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to tackling water shortages and ensuring equitable access to water resources nationwide.
