Ugandan Presidential Envoy Seeks Algeria’s Expertise in Religious Affairs Management

Algiers – The special envoy of the Ugandan President and senior advisor on Middle Eastern affairs, Mohamed Ahmed Kisule, expressed his country’s interest in benefiting from Algeria’s expertise in managing religious affairs during his visit to Algiers on Wednesday.

Following his meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Kisule described the discussions as “productive and fruitful.” He announced that Uganda had secured Algeria’s approval to share its expertise in religious affairs administration.

Algeria’s Advanced Model in Religious Affairs

Kisule emphasized that the main purpose of his visit was to gain insights into Algeria’s structured approach to religious governance, particularly in terms of organization and modernization to align with global progress. He noted that President Tebboune endorsed the proposal and instructed his advisors to further explore the collaboration after Ramadan.

Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Beyond religious affairs, the meeting also covered trade cooperation, which was highlighted as a key factor in strengthening bilateral ties and mutual economic benefits between Algeria and Uganda.

This visit underscores Algeria’s growing influence in regional and international cooperation, particularly in sharing its governance models with African partners.
