Algiers – The President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of the martyr and to the National People’s Army (NPA), following the martyrdom of pilot Major Bkouch Nacer on Wednesday in a military plane crash in the Adrar province.
The statement of condolence read: “Following the martyrdom of pilot Major Bkouch Nacer in the crash of a military fighter aircraft during a scheduled training mission this Wednesday, March 19, 2025, near the Ouled Fayet area in the Adrar province within the Third Military Region, and in light of this immense loss, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, offers his sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the martyr and to the National People’s Army. He prays to Almighty God to grant him forgiveness and mercy during these blessed days of the holy month of Ramadan, and to grant him eternal peace in Paradise. May God grant his loved ones patience and solace. To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
This tragic incident occurred when the military aircraft crashed while the pilot was conducting a routine training exercise. The nation mourns the loss of Major Bkouch Nacer, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his country.
