Algiers, March 23, 2025 — The government of South Africa has officially approved the appointment of Mr. Ali Achoui as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of South Africa.
The announcement was made in a statement released today by Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs.
This appointment reaffirms Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its diplomatic ties with strategic partners on the African continent, particularly with South Africa, a key ally in promoting regional cooperation and supporting just causes such as the Palestinian struggle and the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.
