Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs tasked with the National Community Abroad, received Fabrizio Saggio, Diplomatic Advisor to the Italian Prime Minister, on Tuesday in Algiers during the latter’s working visit to Algeria, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The meeting addressed “the state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development in preparation for upcoming bilateral events, notably the fifth session of the summit between the two countries’ governments, scheduled for the coming months under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni,” the statement noted.
It also provided an opportunity to review cooperation projects and explore ways to expand them across various areas of mutual interest, the same source added.
