El-Djeich magazine, in its April issue, affirmed that victorious Algeria is making giant strides toward development and comprehensive growth through massive strategic projects.
In its editorial titled “Securing the Present for a Bright Future,” the magazine stated, “Victorious Algeria is advancing with giant steps toward progress and comprehensive development via strategic projects once deemed unattainable or fanciful by the idle. These achievements confirm that Algeria is moving steadfastly on the path of advancement and prosperity, confidently securing its present and aspiring to a bright future.”
The magazine highlighted that accomplishments in various fields, achieved in a relatively short time, demonstrate this progress, particularly in food security, water security, health security, and other areas, guided by a wise and prudent leadership prioritizing Algeria’s interests and sovereignty. It added that all development projects approved by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and implemented on the ground serve the citizen and meet their needs, reinforcing the social character of the Algerian state rooted in the principles of the triumphant Liberation Revolution, notably the November 1 Declaration.
In this regard, the magazine recalled the President’s reaffirmation, during his latest periodic media interview, of his commitment to maintaining this approach to achieve further gains across all levels, especially for youth—the nation’s foundation and essence. The editorial praised this vital societal segment, “imbued with patriotism and driven by a strong will to achieve set goals,” as emphasized by the President.
Noting the interdependence of security and development, the magazine underscored “the pivotal role of the People’s National Army (ANP) as a fundamental guarantor of this developmental journey amid security and stability.” In a regionally volatile environment with growing security challenges, “our armed forces bear a historic responsibility to protect our vast borders, combat terrorism and organized crime in all forms, and preserve national territorial unity and state sovereignty by relentlessly building a deterrent military force.”
This role was reaffirmed by Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha, Deputy Minister of National Defense and ANP Chief of Staff, during his September 2024 visit to the First Military Region, where he stated, “Rapid regional transformations and events along our borders necessitate heightened vigilance, caution, and intensified alertness.” He stressed continuous efforts to refine and adapt achievements to align with goals, whether in combat readiness, enhancing battle force preparedness, or safeguarding borders and fighting organized crime.
The editorial also marked the International Day for Mine Awareness, recalling the colonial French crime of planting mines that “claimed tens of thousands of Algerian lives—heroes who fiercely clung to their ancestral land, paying with their lives for the inhumane crimes of a despised occupier.” It added, “With its unyielding steel will, Algeria overcame this toxic legacy, thanks to the efforts of its sons who did everything possible to eradicate it.”
