Oran’s “Night of Museums” Delivers a Magical Evening Blending Heritage and Creativity

Oran – The National Public Museum “Ahmed Zabana” in Oran hosted a vibrant cultural evening on Thursday under the banner “Night of Museums,” offering visitors a memorable night that blended historical richness with the artistic creativity of children. Around 60 children, along with a large crowd of museum enthusiasts, participated in educational and recreational activities organized in partnership with local cultural associations and the private art school “Weiner Art.” This initiative, inspired by the Ministry of Culture’s summer directive to keep museums open at night, reflects a renewed vision to transform museums into interactive and educational spaces. Under the guidance of museum staff, children explored heritage collections, created clay artifacts inspired by exhibits, and produced imaginative drawings that celebrated traditional crafts. The event, now in its third night, underscores the ministry’s commitment to reviving cultural life during the summer and fostering a deeper appreciation of Algeria’s heritage among younger generations.
