Cairo – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially revealed the newly designed trophy for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2 to 30, 2025. The unveiling featured iconic African footballers Victor Wanyama (Kenya), Denis Onyango (Uganda), and Mrisho Ngasa (Tanzania), highlighting the symbolic importance of the event. The modern, elegant trophy merges gold and silver elements, encircled by 54 distinct lines representing each African football federation. At its core lies a detailed map of Africa, reinforcing the continental unity and cultural richness of the competition. The redesigned trophy reflects CHAN’s evolving identity and growing prestige. Meanwhile, Algeria’s national team will launch its campaign in Group C on August 4 against Uganda in Kampala, followed by matches against South Africa (August 8), Guinea (August 15), and Niger (August 18), as it aims for continental glory.
