New York – The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced on Friday that 1,373 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since May 27, while waiting for humanitarian aid. According to the statement, 859 victims were shot near Gaza Aid Foundation locations, and 514 along food convoy routes. The report detailed that between July 30 and 31 alone, 105 people were killed and at least 680 injured in northern Gaza, southern Khan Younis, central Gaza, and Rafah. The UN office confirmed that most of the victims were youth and children posing no threat, underscoring the disproportionate and indiscriminate nature of the Israeli attacks. The aggression, ongoing since October 7, 2023, has led to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, marked by extreme hunger, shortages of medicine, and a collapse of essential services in the besieged enclave.
