On August 5, 2025, Mr. Azouz Nasri, President of the Algerian Council of the Nation, welcomed Mr. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria, in a courtesy visit that highlighted the depth of historical and brotherly ties between the two nations. Both sides reaffirmed the shared political will of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to strengthen cooperation across various domains. Mr. Nasri praised the upward trajectory of bilateral relations and Algeria’s commitment to providing a conducive investment environment, while also saluting the alignment of both countries’ positions on regional and international issues—foremost among them the Palestinian cause. The Qatari ambassador expressed appreciation for Algeria’s support in international forums and underscored the potential for further bilateral progress. The meeting concluded with a call to reinforce parliamentary cooperation through joint committees and coordinated efforts within regional and international parliamentary bodies.
