Algiers – As part of its strategy to integrate modern technological tools to enhance the level of national basketball and keep pace with global developments in sports, the Algerian Basketball Federation organized a second online seminar for statisticians.
The federation, in a statement on its social media, explained that the seminar was held under the title “Continuous Training in Statistics and Performance Analysis” in preparation for the upcoming sports season. The session was supervised by experts in the field, namely Amri Jamaleddine and Khalifi Said Ali.
In light of the rapid digital revolution, the meeting was dedicated to presenting technology that allows real-time statistics transmission during matches, enabling managers, coaches, players, and fans to follow the game in a precise and immediate manner.
This initiative represents a significant step forward for Algerian basketball, marking a qualitative leap towards modernization and development, which will contribute to improving the level of the sport both nationally and regionally.
For the record, the first training course on statistics took place at the end of May 2025.
