At a press conference in Algiers on August 20, U.S. Ambassador Elizabeth Moore Aubin underlined the strength and growing scope of Algerian-American relations.
She noted that cooperation spans security, economics, and agriculture, praising Algeria’s leadership at the United Nations Security Council. Aubin recalled key milestones this year, including a memorandum of understanding on security cooperation signed in January.
The ambassador also pointed to progress in agriculture, highlighting Algeria’s recent imports of American cattle and genetic material, with the first calves already born in Mila province. She said these initiatives will boost local production and reflect the broader momentum in trade and investment ties.
