Italian Andy Diaz Hernandez claimed gold (17.56 m) and Portugal’s Pedro Pichardo took silver (17.47 m). In the 800 m, Olympic bronze medallist Djamel Sedjati finished fourth in 1:42.84, behind Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi (1:42.37), Britain’s Max Burgin (1:42.42) and Canada’s Marco Arop (1:42.57)
