ALGIERS – The National Office of Meteorology issued an urgent bulletin on Friday warning that heavy thunderstorms are expected to sweep across large parts of Algeria. The alert covers Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Tébessa, Khenchela, Batna, Biskra, El Oued, Ouargla, Ghardaïa, El Menia, In Guezzam and Bordj Badji Mokhtar. It cautions that rain and lightning will begin around noon and continue until roughly 9 p.m., urging residents to exercise caution
