President Chapo was seen off at Houari Boumediene International Airport by the President of the Council of the Nation, Azzouz Nasseri. The visit culminated in the signing of six agreements and memoranda of understanding covering various areas of bilateral cooperation. Earlier that day, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, alongside his Mozambican counterpart, oversaw the signing ceremony of several agreements, including an executive program for cooperation in the culture and arts sector for the period 2025–2028, a cooperation protocol between Algerian Radio and its Mozambican counterpart, and agreements in the fields of media and communication, higher education and scientific research, and security and public order. Additionally, a memorandum of understanding on political consultations was signed. Prior to this, President Tebboune hosted his Mozambican counterpart with an official reception at the Presidency of the Republic, where both leaders listened to their countries’ national anthems and reviewed formations of the People’s National Army, which performed an honorary salute. They then posed for a commemorative photo. The two presidents held private talks, which later expanded to include members of both countries’ delegations. Earlier in the day, President Chapo visited the Martyrs’ Sanctuary, where he observed a minute of silence and laid a wreath at the memorial honoring the martyrs of the Glorious Liberation Revolution. He then visited the National Museum of the Mujahid, where he received detailed explanations about Algeria’s historical phases, including popular resistance, the national movement, and the Liberation Revolution. In another stop, the Mozambican President visited the Grand Mosque of Algiers, where he was received by the mosque’s dean, Sheikh Mohamed Mamoun Al-Qasimi Al-Hassani, who provided comprehensive insights about this religious and cultural landmark. It is worth noting that President Chapo, along with several African heads of state and leaders, attended the official opening of the fourth edition of the IATF 2025, presided over by President Tebboune at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center.
