As part of the Intra-African Trade Fair cultural programme, Algeria organised a spectacular concert at the Boualem-Bessaïh Opera House on 10 September 2025. The Symphony Orchestra and Polyphonic Choir of the Algiers Opera performed symphonic masterpieces, Andalusian songs and African chants for a large audience. The event was attended by Minister of Culture Zouhir Ballalou and international cultural figures. Young talents such as soprano Dina Sirine Khiari, tenor Billel Sahraoui, Andalusian singer Sabrina Lounis Khodja and violinist Fakhr-eddine Mahala showcased classical and traditional music, while chaâbi singer Zouhir Mazari honoured Algerian legends. The concert concluded with Karl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana,’ echoing patriotic sentiments and highlighting the resilience of the Algerian people.
