Chinese Delegation Visits Several Civil Protection Services in Algiers Province

Algiers – On Thursday, September 11, 2025, Hu Minglang, Vice Minister of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China, and his accompanying delegation visited several facilities under the General Directorate of Civil Protection in Algiers, according to a statement from the directorate reported by aps.dz.

This visit is part of the ongoing working visit to Algeria, where the Chinese delegation was received by Boualam Boughlaf, Director General of Civil Protection. The meeting focused on “exchanging expertise and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Algeria and China in disaster management and responding to major risks, contributing to enhancing intervention and training capabilities.”

During the visit to the Algiers Civil Protection Directorate, the delegation toured its organizational and administrative structures, operational equipment, and technical resources. They also observed the readiness of its various units and specialties in intervention and rescue operations.

On site, the delegation received “comprehensive explanations on the management of daily interventions and handling of various hazards,” as noted in the statement.

The Chinese delegation also visited the National Coordination Center, where they learned about the mechanisms for monitoring and operational management of major risks at the national level. They then proceeded to the National Museum of Civil Protection, where they gained insights into the history and evolution of the institution, according to the same source.
