Algiers – The fourth session of the Algerian-Hungarian Joint Economic Committee will be held next December in Algiers, according to a ministry statement released Thursday.
Preparations for this session were the focus of a meeting yesterday, Wednesday, between the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Yassin Mahdi Walid, and the Hungarian Ambassador to Algeria, Gábor Levente Sárka, at the ministry headquarters, attended by ministry officials, the same source said.
The two parties discussed the preparations for the upcoming fourth session of the joint committee, which represents an opportunity to boost partnership and cooperation between the two countries as well as serving as a platform for businessmen to establish investment projects based on a win-win principle, the statement added.
They also agreed that the upcoming meeting will activate and update several previously signed cooperation and partnership agreements between the two countries, in addition to proposing new cooperation programs, especially in innovation promotion, aquaculture, forestry, scientific research, and other areas of common interest, according to the ministry.
During the meeting, the historical bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields—particularly agriculture—were reviewed, the source noted.
