Minister and Governor of Algiers Mohamed Abdelnour Rabhi oversees ceremony honoring the capital’s football clubs crowned in the 2024-2025 season

In Algiers, Mohamed Abdelnour Rabhi, who serves as both the Minister and the Governor of Algiers Province, presided over a ceremonial event celebrating the achievements of capital-based football clubs for the 2024-2025 sports season. The honored clubs included MC Alger, champions of the Mobilyes Ligue 1; USM Alger, winners of the Republic Cup; ES Ben Aknoun, champions of the Amateur Ligue 2 and newly promoted to the professional league; and CR Touggourt, promoted to Amateur Ligue 2.

During this event, Rabhi personally honored the chairpersons of the clubs’ boards of directors, who reciprocated by honoring him as well. The ceremony took place in the presence of Algiers state officials, deputy governors, municipal council presidents, and players. The head of youth, sports, and entertainment for Algiers Province praised the high level and commendable performance of these teams, highlighting the role played by the provincial authorities in providing the necessary support and resources for their success.
