Algiers – The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the national community abroad, Sofiane Chaib, received on Tuesday the Deputy Foreign Minister of Indonesia, Mohamed Anies Mata, who is on a working visit to Algeria, the Ministry reported.

The meeting underscored the mutual interest of both nations in further strengthening bilateral ties and advancing cooperation in various fields to achieve shared benefits, while consolidating the historic bonds of friendship and solidarity uniting the two brotherly countries.

Discussions also included an exchange of views on a wide range of regional and international issues of common concern, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. Both sides further consulted on matters of mutual interest within international and regional organizations, particularly ASEAN, in the wake of Algeria’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
