Algiers – The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has launched the first edition of the competition for the “Best Digital Historical Content” created with artificial intelligence technologies.
According to the ministry’s statement, the initiative aims to encourage the production of creative content that connects Algeria’s glorious national history with the country’s digital future. The first edition focuses on highlighting two key figures of the Algerian Liberation Revolution who played decisive roles in its success:
- The liaison officer, described as the vital link responsible for securely transmitting news and orders, ensuring coordination and information flow under all circumstances.
- The political commissar, regarded as the revolutionary mind behind awareness and mobilization, who worked tirelessly to strengthen national consciousness and counter colonial propaganda.
Participation Guidelines
Participants can submit either a short film produced with artificial intelligence or a podcast. Each participant or group (of up to three members) may submit one work addressing one of the two figures. Entries must be original, purposeful, and free of any partisan, commercial, or inappropriate content.
Evaluation and Awards
A specialized jury composed of experts in history, media, and digital content creation will evaluate submissions. Winners will receive valuable prizes for each category—short film and podcast—and the best entries will be shared on the ministry’s official platforms. The results and awards ceremony will coincide with the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the Algerian Revolution.
Submission Details
Entries must be sent by October 25, 2025, via email to challenge@mpt.gov.dz.
