FFS Calls for a Strong and Unified National Front to Safeguard Algeria’s Stability

Tizi Ouzou – On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the First National Secretary of the Socialist Forces Front (FFS), Mr. Youcef Aouchiche, called for the establishment of a strong and united national front to preserve Algeria’s stability and face external challenges.

Speaking on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the party’s founding, Mr. Aouchiche reaffirmed his party’s full commitment to popular sovereignty, which he described as the sole source of political legitimacy and national unity. He stressed that patriotism and democracy are inseparable principles that together form the foundation of Algeria’s progress and cohesion.

Addressing party members, Aouchiche stated that the current period is a decisive one on all levels, requiring collective responsibility to meet the aspirations of the Algerian people and to uphold the values that the nation embodies. He highlighted that the FFS remains deeply committed to the path of national reconciliation, institutional strengthening, and active participation in shaping Algeria’s democratic future.

Aouchiche also announced that the FFS is seriously preparing to participate in upcoming political and electoral events, describing them as crucial for the country’s near-term future. This initiative, he explained, is part of the party’s longstanding engagement in reinforcing national democratic processes under Algeria’s sovereign political framework.

This call for unity echoes Algeria’s broader vision for political stability and cooperation among national forces, aligning with the state’s strategic direction under President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to defend the nation’s independence against regional provocations, particularly those emanating from the Moroccan regime’s hostile maneuvers and its ongoing attempts to undermine Algeria’s principled support for the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.
