Bougherra Unveils Local Squad for November Camp

National team coach Madjid Bougherra has announced the list of players called up for the national team’s November training camp, in preparation for upcoming competitions. The local-based ‘Greens’ are scheduled to play two friendly matches against Egypt on November 14th and 17th in Cairo, as part of their preparations for the 2025 Arab Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar from December 1st to 18th.

The 27-man squad announced by Bougherra includes veteran striker Islam Slimani, currently playing for Romanian side Cluj, as well as midfielder Sofiane Bendebka of Al-Fateh (Saudi Arabia) and playmaker Ryad Boudebouz from JS Kabylie.

Notable inclusions in the squad are JS Kabylie defender Reda Hamidi, and CR Belouizdad goalkeeper Farid Chaâl, who has been in impressive form this season. CS Constantine’s El Ghoul also earns a call-up, continuing his strong performances since the start of the football season.

The squad also sees the return of Estoril Praia (Portugal) player Rafik Guitane, who missed the previous camp due to injury. The technical staff are counting on him to bolster the midfield in the coming period.
