Southern Lebanon: Tragedy struck today as two brothers were killed in a targeted strike on their vehicle. The incident occurred in the southern region of the country, according to reports from the area.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that the vehicle, a four-wheel drive, was targeted by what they described as a drone belonging to the Zionist entity. The attack took place on the road connecting the towns of Ain Ata and Shebaa, near the western slopes of Mount Hermon in southern Lebanon. The vehicle reportedly burst into flames immediately following the strike, resulting in the immediate deaths of the two brothers.
Earlier in the day, a separate incident in the city of Bint Jbeil, also in southern Lebanon, resulted in injuries to seven individuals. Local sources reported that a vehicle was targeted in a similar strike. According to the Lebanese News Agency, a drone launched two guided missiles at a vehicle near the Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil, which is located in the Nabatieh Governorate.
These incidents come amidst ongoing tensions in the region. It is worth noting that a ceasefire agreement was implemented last November, calling for the withdrawal of Zionist forces from villages and towns along the southern Lebanese border within 60 days. The Beirut government subsequently agreed to extend the deadline until February 18th. However, reports indicate that the occupying forces remain stationed in five locations, and violations of the ceasefire continue to be reported.
DZWatch is following these developments closely and will provide updates as they become available.
