Justice Minister Convenes Evaluation Meeting

Algiers, October 11, 2025 – The Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Lotfi Boujemaa, held an evaluation meeting Saturday evening at the Ministry headquarters. The meeting brought together presidents and general prosecutors from judicial councils across the nation, along with senior officials from the central administration and affiliated institutions.

According to a statement released by the Ministry, the discussions centered on a comprehensive assessment of the performance of judicial bodies. Key areas of focus included the implementation and application of provisional detention measures, the utilization of alternative sentencing options, the adaptation of penalties to individual cases, and the effective management of seized assets.

The meeting also addressed the quality and efficiency of public services provided by the justice system. The Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that these services meet the expectations and needs of Algerian citizens.

“The goal is to continuously improve the administration of justice and ensure fairness and efficiency in all aspects of the legal process,” stated a Ministry spokesperson. “This evaluation meeting is a crucial step in identifying areas where improvements can be made and implementing strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of the judicial system.”
