Algiers – Minister of Sport, Walid Sadi, received the promising young athlete, Younes Ayachi, at the Ministry headquarters on Sunday. Ayachi is considered one of Algeria’s most outstanding talents in the high jump discipline.
During the meeting, Minister Sadi listened to the young athlete’s concerns and provided guidance, emphasizing the importance of supporting him and providing the necessary resources to prepare him for upcoming international competitions. He affirmed the Algerian state’s commitment to its youth and sporting talents.
“The Ministry is dedicated to fostering young talent and ensuring they have the support they need to excel on the world stage,” Minister Sadi stated.
Younes Ayachi expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Sport for the warm reception and support he received. He praised the Ministry’s attention to emerging talents and affirmed his determination to continue working hard to achieve further success and raise the national flag in future competitions.
Ayachi recently broke both the national and Arab records for the under-18 category during the Wilaya Athletics Competition organized by the Bejaia League in May. He jumped to a height of 2.20 meters, surpassing his previous record of 2.18 meters. This achievement underscores his potential and dedication to the sport.
The meeting highlights the Algerian government’s ongoing efforts to invest in and support young athletes, providing them with the resources and encouragement they need to succeed at the highest levels of competition.
