OUARGLA – The new school sports season was officially inaugurated in Ouargla, marking a renewed commitment to promoting physical activity and athletic development within the Algerian education system.
The Minister of Sports, Walid Sadi, and the Minister of National Education, Mohamed Seghir Saadaoui, arrived at Ain El Beida Airport in Ouargla as part of a working visit to the region. They were received by the Governor of Ouargla, Abdelghani Filali, along with local and security officials.
The visit underscores the Ministry of Sports’ field program, which focuses on assessing the current state of sports infrastructure and facilities within the province. A key objective is to monitor projects aimed at enhancing sports participation, particularly within schools, in close collaboration with the Ministry of National Education.
The initiative aims to strengthen the synergy between the sports and education sectors. The official opening of the 2025/2026 school sports season signifies a concerted effort to elevate the role of sports within educational institutions. This collaboration seeks to foster a culture of athleticism and healthy living among students across the nation.
