Health Minister Inspects Advanced Cardiac Catheterization Unit in Blida

Blida, November 10, 2025 – Minister of Health, Mohamed Seddik Ait Mesoudane, accompanied by the Governor of Blida, Djamel Eddine Hassehas, today visited the cardiac catheterization and pacing unit at the Frantz Fanon University Hospital Center. The Minister closely examined the working conditions within the unit and the advanced medical equipment available.

The visit focused on assessing the readiness of the medical and paramedical staff to handle cardiovascular cases, particularly emergency interventions in this critical field, as well as related medical specialties. Minister Ait Mesoudane emphasized the importance of ensuring the unit is fully equipped and staffed to provide optimal care for patients requiring cardiac catheterization.

Following the hospital visit, the Minister and the Governor inspected the “Ben Khadda Abdel Halim” multi-service clinic in Diar El Bahri, Beni Mered municipality, in the Ouled Yaich district. This clinic now operates on a 24/7 basis. The clinic includes rooms for general and specialized treatments and examinations, covering pediatrics, dentistry, and other medical disciplines.

During his tour of the clinic’s various sections and after listening to explanations from the health facility’s management regarding the operational system and provided services, the Minister affirmed that strengthening and developing local clinics is a key objective of the Ministry of Health. This initiative aims to improve the quality of health care and bring medical services closer to the citizen.

The Minister stressed that this direction reflects the sector’s commitment to ensuring comprehensive and integrated health care by improving the working conditions of medical teams, providing modern equipment, and strengthening the capabilities of local health structures. This, he added, contributes to raising the level of services and ensuring an effective and efficient response to the needs of patients in various regions of the state. The Ministry aims to make healthcare more accessible and responsive to the needs of the population.
