Algiers, October 12, 2025 – The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has announced the commencement of a recruitment drive for police officers, both male and female, for the year 2025. The selection process will be based on competitive examinations.
According to a statement released by the DGSN earlier today, candidates must meet the legal requirements stipulated in the statute governing personnel within the National Security forces. A notable exception has been made for this recruitment cycle: the age limit has been exceptionally raised to a maximum of 27 years at the time of the competition.
Interested applicants can download and print the application form, as well as review all recruitment requirements, on the official website and digital platforms of the Algerian Police.
The DGSN further advises prospective candidates that application submissions must be made at the district security headquarters or the state security directorates.
This recruitment drive represents a significant opportunity for Algerian citizens seeking a career in law enforcement and public service. The DGSN is committed to attracting a diverse and highly qualified pool of candidates to strengthen the ranks of the National Police.
The Algerian National Police plays a vital role in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and protecting the rights and freedoms of all citizens. This recruitment effort underscores the government’s commitment to investing in its security forces and providing them with the resources necessary to effectively carry out their duties.
