Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Algeria’s karate team enjoyed a successful start to the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, securing three bronze medals on the opening day of competition. The medals were earned in the karate do events held at the martial arts hall west of Riyadh.
Youssef Zaid and Medouni Faleh both distinguished themselves in the Kumite discipline, earning their respective bronze medals. Nariman Dahleb added to Algeria’s medal haul with a bronze in the Kata event. Their achievements came during the first day of competition.
The Algerian team is expected to continue its participation in the Games, with the aim of adding to their medal tally and further solidifying their presence at this important sporting event. The final day of karate competition presents a new opportunity for Algerian athletes to shine and bring home more accolades.
