President Tebboune Extends Condolences to Turkey After Military Plane Crash

Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has conveyed his deepest condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the tragic crash of a Turkish military aircraft. The incident, which occurred in the Saghnaghi region near the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, resulted in the deaths of twenty military personnel.

In a message addressed to President Erdoğan, President Tebboune expressed his profound sorrow and sympathy. He stated, “Your Excellency, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, My dear brother, it was with deep emotion and sadness that I received the news of the crash of the Turkish military plane in the Saghnaghi region on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border, which resulted in the death of twenty soldiers.”

President Tebboune continued, “In the face of this tragic and painful event, I extend to Your Excellency my sincerest condolences and heartfelt sympathy, asking Almighty God to shower the victims with His vast mercy and grant them spacious paradise, and to inspire you, their families, and their relatives with beautiful patience and solace.”

The message concluded with the traditional Islamic expression of grief, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” (Verily we belong to God, and to Him we shall return).

This expression of solidarity underscores the strong relationship between Algeria and Turkey, particularly during times of national mourning and loss.
