The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Said Changriha, said that the army, with its vigilance and readiness, supported by the people, has thwarted all attempts to disrupt the stability of our country and to undermine its unity and cohesion. It has always been a formidable barrier that has foiled all lowly schemes, no matter what they may be.
Lieutenant-General Changriha made this statement in a speech today during the celebration of the National Army Day, which is being presided over by President Tebboune at the National Army Club in Blida. He stressed that this day marks another bright milestone in the country’s journey, which is the anniversary of the transformation of the Liberation Army with all its values of courage and sacrifice. He added that it is a station to honor the heroes of independent Algeria in recognition of what the stalwart men have given, who sacrificed themselves to preserve the republic so that it may remain lofty against darkness and barbarity.
The Chief of Staff explained that the Liberation Army has fulfilled its sacred mission and liberated the homeland. The People’s National Army has carried out the mission with great pride and dedication, and has engaged in efforts to develop the country and lay the material and economic foundations, in addition to developing its structure in line with scientific and technological developments. “We have been keen to modernize and modernize our armed forces so that they can be up to the level of the sacred mission, which is a mission that confirms the field results achieved today in the fight against the remnants of terrorism and combat preparation,” he said.
He added: “The sons of the army, the loyal successor of the martyrs and the Mujahideen, are worthy of this mission and will carry it out no matter what the sacrifices and circumstances. Today we are with major stations in our glorious history and the journey of our redeemed country. These are stations that were prepared by men with a special genius with a clear, honest, and loyal vision, and free from self-interest and narrow considerations. They have rallied around the major issues and unity, and have confronted threats.”
He continued: “We have been and still are, with all the loyal patriots, keen to complete the path of building the new Algeria, which President Tebboune has outlined, and to give it the factors of strength and immunity to occupy its prestigious place among nations. This path is bearing its fruit today at the internal level and at various levels, and even at the external level and regional and international platforms in the shadow of the major security challenges and rapid and uncertain changes, and in the midst of crises and what they witness of fragility and fluctuation, which makes us in need to arouse determination, sharpen determination, and unite the efforts of all its loyal sons, and thwart conspiracies and intrigues.”
