Health Minister Urges Increased Diabetes Awareness Campaigns

Algiers – Minister of Health, Mohamed Seddik Ait Messoudane, emphasized the crucial role of public awareness in preventing diabetes and promoting early detection during the commemoration of World Diabetes Day in Algiers on Thursday.

Speaking at a national event, the Minister highlighted the growing concern surrounding diabetes prevalence and the urgent need for proactive measures to combat the disease. He stressed that heightened awareness campaigns are essential to educate the public about risk factors, preventative measures, and the importance of regular health screenings.

“Early detection is key to managing diabetes effectively and preventing serious complications,” stated Minister Ait Messoudane. “Increased awareness empowers individuals to make informed lifestyle choices, seek timely medical attention, and ultimately, reduce the burden of this chronic disease on our healthcare system.”
