Prime Minister Inspects Firefighting Efforts in Tipaza

Tipaza, Algeria – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrib arrived in Tipaza today to personally oversee the firefighting operations underway in several areas of the province. This visit underscores the government’s continuous monitoring of the situation and its commitment to supporting the Civil Protection forces and local authorities in their efforts to combat the blazes.

The Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing from the Director-General of Civil Protection. The briefing covered the evolution of the firefighting operation, including the spread of the fires, the resources deployed – personnel, equipment, aerial and ground interventions – and the overall strategy being implemented.

Prime Minister Ghrib then traveled to the municipality of Moussoulmoun to directly assess the fire hotspots and observe the ongoing interventions aimed at extinguishing the flames. He also evaluated the general situation and determined the necessary measures to further support relief efforts and protect the affected population.

This visit to Tipaza carries significant political weight, sending a clear message of the state’s presence and active involvement during times of crisis. It emphasizes the government’s dedication to on-the-ground assessment rather than relying solely on centralized reports. The Prime Minister’s presence aims to reassure residents and demonstrate the readiness of state institutions to respond effectively to natural disasters, thereby strengthening the bond of trust between citizens and the state during critical moments.
