Blida, Algeria – November 15, 2025 – Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, today inaugurated several new medical facilities within the First Military Region. The inauguration underscores the ongoing commitment to improving healthcare services for military personnel and their families.
The ceremonies commenced at the Central Army Hospital in Ain Naadja, where Lieutenant General Chengriha received a detailed presentation from the Central Director of Military Health Services. The presentation highlighted the newly completed facilities and their role in realizing the healthcare initiatives approved by the High Command of the People’s National Army. These initiatives are designed to enhance the performance of hospital infrastructure and elevate the overall quality of healthcare provided.
Lieutenant General Chengriha oversaw the launch of operations in two medical departments within the Central Army Hospital, both recently equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology. The new equipment is expected to significantly improve diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Later in Blida, accompanied by the Commander of the First Military Region and the Central Director of Military Health Services, Lieutenant General Chengriha officially opened the Regional University Military Hospital. This modern facility represents a significant investment in regional healthcare infrastructure.
During a tour of the hospital, Lieutenant General Chengriha received briefings on the diverse range of medical and surgical services offered. Hospital representatives emphasized how these services will contribute to strengthening and promoting healthcare excellence within the region and for the military community.
