Algeria to Establish National Cyber Security School

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered the creation of a national cybersecurity school, in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense.

The decision, announced in a cabinet meeting today, is intended to unify efforts and enhance efficiency in this critical area, in order to protect Algeria’s national security.

The school will be responsible for training and educating the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, who will be responsible for protecting Algeria’s critical infrastructure and data from cyberattacks.

The school is expected to be located in Algiers, and it will offer a variety of programs, including undergraduate and graduate degrees in cybersecurity.
