Tipaza Opens Investment in New Transportation Routes

The Directorate of Transportation in Tipaza has announced the opening of investment opportunities in several new transportation routes. This initiative addresses significant pressure and inadequate coverage currently experienced on these lines, aligning with efforts to enhance the transportation network across the Tipaza province and improve service quality for citizens.

According to a statement from the Directorate, this decision implements Ministerial Instruction No. 157, dated February 9, 2025, which pertains to the reorganization and redistribution of passenger transportation routes. This also reflects directives from local authorities aiming to provide a more efficient transportation service, particularly on vital routes experiencing heavy daily traffic.

The Directorate of Transportation confirmed that the routes in question include key connections between Tipaza city and Bou Ismail, Gouraya, Cherchell, Algiers, Ahmer El Ain, Bourkika, and Hadjout, passing through the Fikrach neighborhood. These routes were opened after identifying under-investment in recent years, which negatively impacted the regularity of transport services and the overall quality provided to users.

Interested investors are invited to submit their applications by mail to the Directorate’s headquarters. Applications must include a written request accompanied by essential documents such as a copy of the vehicle registration card, technical inspection certificate, and insurance certificate. The Directorate emphasized that applications will undergo a rigorous evaluation process to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle quality before any route is granted.

Furthermore, inter-state transportation routes exceeding 300 kilometers are also open to investors, provided that vehicles undergo a thorough technical inspection covering safety aspects and the overall condition of the exterior and interior. This aims to guarantee a safe and comfortable transportation service for citizens.

This move is part of a comprehensive program to develop the transportation sector across the province. Authorities aim to alleviate pressure on existing routes, expand service offerings to ensure better coverage of various areas, and reduce the challenges faced by commuters. The Directorate invites all eligible investors to participate in this important initiative. This presents a valuable opportunity to contribute to the improvement of public transportation in Tipaza.
