Two Palestinians Shot Near Jerusalem; Raids in West Bank

Israeli forces shot and wounded two Palestinian youths near the separation barrier in al-Ram, northeast of Jerusalem, while conducting raids and demolitions in several areas of the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed the incident, stating that the two young men were injured by live fire.

According to the Red Crescent, one of the injured sustained a wound to the flank and received initial treatment before being transferred to a hospital in Ramallah. Details regarding his condition remain unclear. Local sources reported that the soldiers opened fire on the youths near the barrier.

The area has seen repeated incidents of injuries among Palestinian workers attempting to cross the barrier in search of employment opportunities inside Israel.

In a separate development, Israeli forces erected military checkpoints in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Local sources indicated that a checkpoint was established in the Wadi al-Rababa neighborhood of Silwan, where two young men were detained and vehicles were searched. Another checkpoint was set up in Sheikh Jarrah, impeding the movement of citizens and vehicles.

Furthermore, Israeli settlers reportedly attacked the Bedouin community of Al-Tibneh, near Khan al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, in the early hours of the morning. Residents reported that the settlers hurled stones at homes and property. The Al-Tibneh community has been subjected to a series of attacks in recent weeks, including the use of loudspeakers at night and the presence of off-road vehicles near residences, in an apparent attempt to force the residents to leave.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces raided the villages of Deir Ibzi and Ein Areek.
