Algerian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Kamel Baddari met with Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Eymen Ahmed Ashour Ahmed on the sidelines of the G77+China summit in Beijing, China on September 15 and 16, 2023.
A statement from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education said that Baddari and Ashour discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the areas of education, higher education, and scientific research, particularly in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, nanotechnology, and student and faculty mobility.
The two sides discussed the most important mechanisms that could be established to implement this cooperation, such as signing twinning agreements between Algerian and Egyptian higher education institutions, and developing joint training and research programs in the areas of climate change, advanced technologies, and innovation.
The meeting was seen as a positive step in strengthening the ties between the two countries in the field of education and research.
