Quneitra, Syria – Israeli forces conducted an incursion into the Quneitra region, south of Damascus, today, according to reports from the area. The move represents a direct violation of Syrian territory and adds to a series of similar incidents in recent months.
Sources on the ground indicate that a unit consisting of three vehicles entered the town of Ruwayhinah, located in the central Quneitra countryside. Reports suggest the forces searched a private residence. This incident follows a similar event yesterday, where an Israeli patrol reportedly entered the area near the Al-Mantarah dam in the western Al-Samdaniyah village. The patrol then proceeded through Al-Ajraf village, eventually reaching eastern Al-Samdaniyah.
These continued incursions represent a violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and international law, as well as relevant United Nations resolutions. The Syrian government has repeatedly condemned these actions and called upon the international community to take decisive action to halt them.
DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. The increased tensions in the region raise concerns about the potential for further escalation.
