Algiers, Algeria – The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has issued a statement calling on all economic operators and project developers with ongoing projects registered at the one-stop shops to declare the current status of their ventures.
The AAPI’s statement emphasizes that this request is part of an ongoing effort to monitor the implementation of registered investment projects across the country. The agency reminds investors of their obligation to submit annual progress reports, in accordance with the provisions of Law 22-18 concerning investment.
This legal framework mandates regular reporting to ensure transparency and accountability in the investment landscape. The AAPI aims to foster a more efficient and effective investment environment by closely tracking project progress and identifying any potential roadblocks.
The agency strongly encourages investors who have not yet submitted their required progress reports to visit the one-stop shop where their project was initially registered as soon as possible to regularize their situation.
By complying with these reporting requirements, investors contribute to a more streamlined and transparent investment process, ultimately benefiting both the investors themselves and the Algerian economy as a whole. The AAPI is committed to supporting investors throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring that all projects contribute to the nation’s economic development goals.
